Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Guwahati. Transfer to Cherrapunjee.

  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet our representative (Please plan to arrive before 9-10 AM).
  • You will then transfer to Cherrapunjee.
  • On the way, stop at Umiam Lake, which sits at the entrance to Shillong and is surrounded by the forested Khasi hills.
  • Next, take a photo break at Mawkdok View Point, offering a view of a V-shaped valley with lush green slopes.
  • Continue your journey along scenic mountain roads to Cherrapunjee.
  • Once you reach, check into your hotel for the night.

Day 02Trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.

  • Start your day with breakfast and prepare for an adventurous trek.
  • Travel to Tyrna village to begin your trek to the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridges.
  • Accompanied by a local guide, you will trek through the forest and cross several bridges along the way.
  • Upon reaching the Double Decker Living Root Bridges, take some time to explore and admire these stunning natural formations.
  • Afterward, you will hike back up approximately 3,000 steps to the base village.
  • In the evening, return to Cherrapunjee and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 03Drive to Shnongpdeng. Enroute Mawlynnong.

  • After breakfast, transfer to Shnongpdeng.
  • Your first stop will be Nohkalikai Falls, renowned for its beauty and the poignant story behind its name.
  • Spend time enjoying the falls before heading to Mawlynnong Village, recognized as Asia’s cleanest village.
  • After exploring Mawlynnong, continue to Shnongpdeng for an overnight stay.

Day 04Shnongpdeng to Shillong. Enroute Jowai.

  • Wake up, have breakfast, and enjoy some water activities in the Umngot River.
  • Later, proceed to Shillong, stopping en route to explore Krang Shuri Falls in Jowai.
  • Spend time admiring the falls or relaxing by the blue pool beneath them.
  • Continue your journey to Shillong, arriving by evening, and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 05Visit Laitlum Canyon. Departure to Guwahati.

  • On your final day, have breakfast and get ready for departure.
  • Before heading to Guwahati, visit the magnificent Laitlum Canyon, known for its rolling green hills and dramatic gorges, as seen in the film “Rock On 2.” After soaking in the canyon views, travel to Guwahati.
  • Your tour concludes with a drop-off at the Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey (Make sure your flight is after 4-5 PM.)
  • Depart with lasting memories of your Meghalaya adventure.

Payment Policy

More than 40 days for the trip – 25% of the total trip cost

40 – 30 Days for the trip – 35% of the total trip cost

20 -15 days for the trip – 40% of the total trip cost

Cancellation policy

30 Days for the trip – We don’t charge you anything except your booking amount. Booking amount is non-refundable.

30 – 15 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.

15 – 07 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 75% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee and remaining sum would be refunded.

Less than 07 Days for the trip – If you’re canceling the trip and opting for a refund within this period then 100% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

  • You are not applicable for a refund if you fail to show up on the day of departure under the given timeline that has been provided to you beforehand.
  •  If a trip is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.) then the participants would be provided with a voucher for the same amount that can be used within 365 days of the issuance date for any package worth the same amount.
  • If a trip has to be aborted midway due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.), in that case, no refund would be provided. Travassa Holidays will not bear any extra expense due to such circumstances.
